I would like to introduce myself first and foremost and give you a short background of myself. My name is Michael Knerr. Yes, the ‘K’ is pronounced. Some may know me, most of you don’t but that doesn’t matter much. I’m 22 years old from the great state of Colorado where I was born and raised. The Marine Corps has taken care of me for the past five years. I will be attending Illinois State University starting in the fall of 2009 to obtain a degree in finance. To describe myself I would say that I am conceited, offensive to many, straight forward, and passionate about what I believe.
Politics, finance, and current events are some of my past times that I indulge in. I will not claim to be an expert in any of these areas because I’m not. They are simply things that I take a strong interest in and will be the focal point of my blog. I ask you not to write me off because of my age or my documented experience. Rather, read what I have to say and make a decision on your own. Start a debate, share your views. The purpose of this blog is to get people interested and involved in the issues. To clear the air a little and warn readers, there’s a good chance that I may offend you. If I do, I apologize but at the same time I will not be sympathetic. There are things that need to be said, I will say them.
Now you’re wondering what my blog is all about and why I’m doing it. First off, my blog is simple. It will detail my thoughts on current events that are happening in the United States and abroad. I decided to start a blog after the horrible disappointment I’ve seen in the government for the last few months. Second, I will introduce ideas to fix problems and point out things that I see are not broken but are on the verge of being. Finally, my main goal is to help people think for themselves and start taking action instead of letting things get out of hand.
Back at you.
It’s a day or two late but hope it was great.
