A True American Voice

America has lost it’s identity… Let’s get it back.

Illegal immigrants raising children in poverty in the U.S.

So it finally comes to light that illegal immigrants raising children in the U.S. is a problem.  http://www.voanews.com/english/2009-04-14-voa55.cfm

I have an idea on the top of my head that would take care of this.  How about we patrol the boarder and don’t let them in.  Problem solved.  Just a side note.  How many of the illegals coming into this country are running drugs for the cartels?  With the number of people coming in to the country illegal, it looks like an invasion.  Kind of like Mexico is waging a secret war to get land back that they lost.

A NOTE TO JAY CUTLER…

From a long time Bronco fan who has tried their best to support you, good riddance . You have shown an immaturity beyond even what we have come to accept from overpaid, spoiled, professional athletes.  You might be talented, but until you grow up, you aren’t worth fighting over. NA-NA-NA-NA,  NA-NA-NA-NA, …….HEY, HEY, GOODBYE!!

Illegal immigrants and driver liscences

I thought this was an interesting story.

 http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/03/27/AR2009032703555.html?hpid=topnews

Illegal immigrants are obtaining driver liscences fraudulently in Maryland.  According to the article, Maryland is prosecuting people that are caught.  Even though they are getting caught, I’ll bet that they aren’t being deported as they should be.

VETERANS CARE UPDATE

As predicted in yesterdays blog, Obama has “seen the light” in regards to his notion that the government could save money by dropping responsibility for the care of our wounded veterans. It’s hard to believe that he didn’t anticipate the backlash that would follow.

I worry about what else he has up his sleeve.

OBAMA “NOT RESPONSIBLE” FOR AIG?

This post is not to discuss the AIG  bonuses themselves. That is a topic of its own. But when the news of the big bonuses came out, the first point that President Obama stressed was that his administration was not responsible.  Maybe, or maybe not, but the point is that he has made the same claim several times on other issues like the bail out, earmarks, etc.  There seems to be a pattern developing. He has been quick to remind us again and again how he inherited a bad economy, but wasn’t his promise fix to the economy the main focus of his campaign?

Mr. President, you wanted this job, and you’ve got it, at least for the next four years. Take a lesson from President Bush. When he stood before the country after 9/11, I don’t remember him making an issue about it not being his fault. His focus was on what to do about it.

Stop worrying about 2012.  The last campaign was long enough.

VETERANS HEALTH CARE

First, note the author of this post is Colorado Ron, not Michael. He may or may not chose to comment on this himself right now because of his current status. I, however, have an opinion that I will share with you.

For those not aware of a plan being considered by President Obama, please go to the links below for the details. The plan would take away government health care for our troops who are injured in the line of duty. It’s true folks! I’m not making this up!

The American Legion Strongly Opposed to President’s Plan to Charge Wounded Heroes for Treatment

He says this move would save over 500 million dollars. How many of you think that this is the place to suddenly start worrying about cutting the budget?

This is the same guy who campaigned on free health care for all.

So let’s look at this. He wants  universal health care, even for illegal aliens, BUT NOT FOR OUR WOUNDED AND DISABLED HEROES.

I figure that when he starts getting the heat for this, we will get another of his explanations of what he “really” meant, how we “misunderstood” what he said. (Don’t forget, we are all stupid!). Maybe I’m stupid, but this is something you don’t say publicly or even think about. Even if it gets shot down, why is it even on the table? Besides being just plain wrong, it not the kind of thing that helps the moral of our troops. The last thing these young men and women should have to wonder about is whether we will be there for them if they are hurt while serving their country. They take care of us, and it’s our duty to take care of them. Period.

Obama seems to get a pass on just about anything he does, but I think this will hit a nerve with almost any true American. It’s so wrong that I think you are even going to see some prominent Democrats running the other way.

Some things you just don’t mess with, and this is one of them.

Forbes’ billionaire list

Who at Forbes decided to put a wanted criminal on the same stage as accomplished, hard working, and respectable people?  I think by putting the drug lord Joaquin Guzman Loera on the billionaire list, Forbes has lost a lot of credibility.  It has to me anyway.   I found this quote very interesting.

“So is there anywhere one can still make a fortune these days? The 38 newcomers offer a few clues. Among the more notable new billionaires are Mexican Joaquin Guzman Loera, one of the biggest suppliers of cocaine to the U.S.”

Now their promoting drug trafficking as a good way to get rich.  I find this despicable and down right irresponsible.  Someone needs to be fired.  They took an other wise fine magazine and reshaped it in just a few words into an advocate for criminals.
